- Tile expansion joints are responsible for compensating for the movement of materials, which expand or shrink in response to changes in humidity and temperature. This prevents cracking or lifting of the substrate. Coextruded PVC profile with a fluted rigid part acting as a ‘pin’ and in the middle a flexible part made of synthetic material with high elasticity able to withstand the main chemical agents. The profiles are inserted into an expansion joint in the subfloor and grouted with plaster or mortar.
